What do we believe at Grace Lutheran?

Grace Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS). The LCMS started in 1847 with 12 pastors serving 15 congregations in several midwestern states with headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri (hence the name: Missouri Synod). The LCMS has congregations in every state and carry out mission work in many foreign countries.

We are:

  • Christ-centered - we preach Jesus Christ, the crucified and risen Lord, the only Savior for all the people of the world. Through his perfect life, innocent suffering, and death, we have the forgiveness of sin. The blessings of his forgiveness benefit us through faith graciously worked in our hearts through the Holy Spirit.
  • Bible-believing - we teach that the Bible in its entirety is the true, inerrant, and inspired word of God. We believe the Bible is the only authority for Christian faith and life. We aim to share Godís word in all its truth and purity.
  • Christian love and support: We as a church of believers in Christís teachings provide each other and those we meet in our daily lives spiritual support, friendship, Christian counsel, and biblical direction. The people of our congregation care about other people Ė and that means you!
