Personal Caring Ministry

We are a collaboration of area churches, businesses and families like yours, working together to help those in need. This project began at Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe and has grown to include many. Personal care and hygiene items are given to struggling families in Monroe County the 3rd Sunday of every month in connection with the "Good Neighbor Food Pantry". The location for distributions is Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church (8212 North Telegraph Road) from 1-3 p.m. Laundry Soap, Toilet Paper, Kleenex, Paper Towels, Shampoo & Conditioner, Bars of Soap, Toothpaste & Toothbrushes, Deodorant, and Hand soaps are just some of the items we provide.

The simplest act of kindness goes a long way to help others. As we prepare for the coming cold winter months, a pair of gloves or hat will mean so much to these people and their children. Sad but true is that a box of Kleenex is considered a "luxury item" in some homes during these tough times. Please contact us to find out how you can help . . . whether it be a "service project" to collect any item of your choice for a month with your students, or giving a monetary donation, the possibilities are endless!

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in . . . I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for Me. Matthew 25:35, 40
